Although I'm currently tucked away in a hidden corner of suburban Maryland, I am a native of Virginia. The youngest of four children, I am the only daughter in a family of raucous boys. I've done time through the educational system, including dicey years at an all women's college and have tried my hand at several jobs, even working a brief stint as a short order cook in a diner, before finally being able to write full-time.

I have two children, a son and a daughter, who live with me and one particularly vocal African Grey Parrot. As a family, we are devoted to Sheffield United Football Club and I travel to the UK as often as possible to be made miserable by them.
